Some Aussie Bands
Got to see these guys play at The Echo last Sunday and they were fucking rad!
These others I've been lucky enough to see a few times over the years...
Ricaine - Touch Me, I'm Famous
That's enough of a trip down memory lane for one day. If you get a chance check out these guys too..
Budd
Ricaine
There was one other band called Warped but having such a generic name, and apparently no website, or music videos, I got nothin'. They were amazing!

MF DOOM

So this is a little tribute to one of my favourite rappers ever, MF Doom/Metal Face/Metal Fingers/Zev Love X/Viktor Vaughn/The SuperVillain/King Gheedorah/ etc etc...
Just a quick stroll through his career however this is really just a drop in the ocean when you look at how many albums and bootlegs there are out there. Anyway, check out his MySpace and his Discography plus look out for a new album coming out in March called Born Like This. There's a track from it called Ball Skin floating around out there for download apparently...
Enjoy!
KMD - Peach Fuzz (as Zev Love X)
Viktor Vaughn - Mr Clean
Madvillain - Accordion (With Madlib)
Danger Doom - ATHF (With Danger Mouse)
King Gheedorah - Mic Line

Dirty Three
One of my all time favourite bands. If you ever get the chance to see them all performing together as the Dirty Three and not Jim White with Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, or Warren Ellis as part of the Bad Seeds, or Mick Turner as part of the Boxhead Ensemble or Tren Brothers, you should! Not that those other bands aren't worth seeing, of course...

Sue's Last Ride (or "It's a Fucken' Bummer That You Died")

John Henry
This is a little tribute to an American Folklore legend John Henry, The Steel Driving Man. He was to "Steel-Driving" what Squeegee Lo is to dancing. There are a load of different versions of this song performed by some great musicians. I really can't decide which one I like the best...
Here's a little Disney movie about him...
Part 1
Part 2
Johnny Cash - The Legend Of John Henry's Hammer
Bruce Springsteen
Merle Travis
Woody Guthrie
Mississippi Fred McDowell
Etta Baker
Carolina Chocolate Drops
Hoyt Axton (Live at The Troubadour 1962)
Joey Cal
That's all I got for today...
There is an in depth Wikipedia page worth checking out too.
Enjoy!
